Suspended Ceiling Barrier

Description

This new type of non-fibrous ceiling barrier (Ref CB) for use over suspended ceiling tiles, made from a special cloth with one hour fire protection rating, adhered to 40mm thick foam sheet with Class 0 and Class 1 flame retardant rating. It offers fire and smoke protection for up to one hour, as well as effective acoustic and thermal insulation. The product is easily fitted and requires no special clothing or gloves for handling. It can be used in computer rooms, hospitals, etc due to its non-fibrous nature. See separate data sheet.

FIRE TEST PERFORMANCE

Tested to BS476 Parts 20, 21, 22, 23 (1987), achieving up to 60 minutes fire protection.

Tested to BS EN ISO 140 Part 4, achieving a 65dB rating at 40mm thickness.

Thermal conductivity U value 0.27W/m²K.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Ceiling Barrier can be easily fitted onto existing suspended ceilings by simply removing the tiles one by one and laying the board on top of them, ensuring a snug fit between the tees. When down lights or air conditioning units are present, order a tile in conjunction with down lighter cover (Product 32) or air conditioning unit cover (Product 31). They will be supplied as complete units for easy installation. Make sure to state the position of these covers during ordering.
