Description

Plastic intumescent Fire & Smoke Seals with self-adhesive backing for ease of fixing. Supplied in two lengths: 1050mm or 2100mm. A version with intumescent fire seal only is available, for use where a smoke seal is not required. However, as smoke kills first, it is always advisable to fit combined intumescent fire and smoke seals. Used for fitting to doors, door frames and windows. Once fitted, the plastic facing of the seals can be painted (however, the brush or rubber smoke seal must NOT be painted). All offer 30 or 60 minutes protection and various sizes.

FIRE TEST PERFORMANCE

Tested to BS476 Part 22 (1987), achieving up to 69 minutes integrity.

Tested to EN 1634-1:2000, achieving up to 68 minutes integrity and 57 minutes insulation.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Can be fitted into doors, door frames and windows. Make a rebate in the frame or door to suit the size of the holder, adding 1mm to the width of the holder to allow for shrinkage of timber/paint. Peel off backing paper and fit seal into routed channel. Panel pins can be used for extra security of fixing if required. Once fitted the plastic facing of the seals can be painted, although the brush or rubber smoke seal must NOT be painted.
