Glazing Bead System For Fire Doors/Screens

Description

A complete glazing system consisting of 2100mm length timber beads coated and sealed with intumescent coating.

10mm hardwood for ½ hour glazing with correct length pins — 2100mm
15mm softwood for ½  hour glazing with correct length pins — 2100mm
25mm hardwood for 1 hour glazing with correct length screws — 2100mm

All beads supplied in a PVC sleeve for transit. Supplied as standard without lip, or add suffix /L to the references for a bolection moulding (lip). Request the standard version without lip for use on partitions. Ideal for doors and screens. The beads can be over painted or varnished, and they are supplied with the correct size pins or screws, and with or without bolection moulding. Standard timber sapele, softwood pine, and other timbers available.

FIRE TEST PERFORMANCE

Tested to BS476 Part 22 (1987), achieving an integrity of 45 minutes on 10mm thick hardwood or 15mm thick softwood, and 68 minutes on 25mm hardwood.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

The beads can be painted or varnished. Both systems are supplied with appropriately-sized fixing pins or screws for fixing at 200mm intervals along the length. (Pins are supplied for ½ hour rated system and screws for 1 hour rated system.) Pins and screws should be fixed at approximately 25° to vertical.
